MAKE-UP ARTIST — TRAINING 1 YEAR

Overview

The job characterization make-up artist is not protected by legal regulations. In former times the name ’Visagist’, which originates from French, stood for a professional person working in make-up, make-up creativity and in photo studios. The name make-up artist comes from the USA and has been used in German speaking areas for a notably shorter period of time. While the term ’Visagist’ is commonly used for two-day seminars, the denotation ’make-up artist’ stands for longer educations. In common parlance the term ’Visagist’ has kept its original meaning.
